i think it is so navi can drive vehicle away if driver is injured, and having a license prooves he is capable.
Plus ccda the ruleing body requires all competitors to have a license for insurence purposes

Dont quite understand some of the rules think that they were good for years ago but could be deleted.

Why do we have to have a working horn ,brake lights and reverseing lights when there is only 1 car on the courese at a time.Just about every team has now inter coms and the people scoreing stay well away from the vehicles.

Could be something to consider for after this year when the powers that be get together for a debrief

I think they're more important off the course than on, crowd safety etc.

Co-Driver or Nav. Call it what you like. Both of the team members have to have a valid current license.

It is unfortunate that your nav or a nav has lost his license. We run under CCDA rules and CCDA insurance and while you think it is unfair, think of the consequences should a nav or co driver get injured or worse killed.

Apart from the anguish friends and families are put through the chances are that it would be the end of TT.

We will amend the wording for you for next year. The Co driver will also be refered to as a Navigator.

These type of rules are in place to try and keep the competing rigs recognizable with their road going cousins, aleast on the outside anyway.

I thought it was more a case of old rules from when the cars had to be road licenced

Duncan, when the rego was dropped, the point was made that the vehicles still were required to have everything working just as it would "if" the vehicle was to go on the road. Clearly they dont go on the road but it has always been a requirement for competing vehicles to have working lights, washers, wipers etc etc.

It was announced on the Tuff Truck facebook site that it would be launched at Opposite Lock stores, and to see the website for details.
