All lies, pub is open & plenty of fire wood there.

I will see about the fire wood for the campers. But there may be a total fire ban that time of year :) :) :)

Well not long now.

Weather is looking good for the weekend.

COLD.

I will be heading down there Friday 15th, so if anyone wants to come out for the weekend, please do so.

I will be based at the Royal (nice & warm)

By the phone calls we should see some new faces there for Round 2.

I am hoping to get a few more Polaris guys interested, lets see if the NSW Polaris can beat the one coming down from Queensland. hehehehehe

Yes this may be the Round that has one of the Polaris right at the pointy end.

I arrived at Manilla this morning and ventured out to The Mountain for a walk around.

It was like it was when I first saw it, the gully has returned to its original self and looking good.

Weather at the moment is in the mid 20s (in front of the fire at the Royal)

I will be going through the room bookings this afternoon or in the morning and I think there will be some spare rooms, let you know more on this later.

I would like to thank Len & Greg from Tamworth 4WD Club for coming out and giving me a hand yesterday.

I am sorry to announce that we will not be able to use all "The Gully" due to some very big trees and a bad wash out on "Smithies Corner".

But don,t be sad about that because I have found ways around it, hehehehehe.

Friday nights SS will be very quick sprint followed by 2 winch SS, with 1 and possibly 2 winches in each. These are marked out and ready to go.

Saturday will see the usual 5SS.
SS4 finished. 1, possible 2 winches.
SS5 - 75% marked out, 2 winches including a change of direction.
SS6 worked out but still to mark out, possible 2/3 winches and a little bit of reversing in this one.
SS7 worked out between 1 & 3 winches in this one.
SS8 still to view and work out but will be held in far gully on the upper right as you come in, horsepower & quick winches required for this one.
Sunday's SS9 & 10 will have you working and a bit different, expect it to be a long SS with more than 3 winches in. Yes you will get to walk this one on Sunday.

Cheers must go and do some work.

Well all the SS are done and dusted and just waiting for the competitors to come and have a walk before we start.

Thanks to Steve Kelly who rocked up on Wednesday to give us a hand. Also big thanks to Peter for keeping an eye on me while I was out marking tracks.

Steve & I are currently getting all the paper work done to make it all happen.

Expecting to start vehicle as soon as it is dark on Friday.

Briefing will be around 1630 - 1700hrs (in the day time)

Saturday will start with a walk of the SS at 0730hrs and will be ready to start briefing at 0800hrs, with first cars on the track at 0845.

Dinner tomorrow night will be at The Royal Hotel in Manilla, all are welcome to join us for some fun.

Sunday is the day of "The Super SS", competitors & officials will walk the track at 0730 and the start order will be in reverse order of ranking.

Cheers

Great night.

My info tomorrow.

Full Stage by Stage points are now at http://www.xtreme4x4sport.com.au/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Some great drives tonight.

Graham & Josh Hodge had gas problems on SS 1 but am assured they will be up and running tomorrow.

Paul & Nathan after just finishing their truck for this weekend had a major wipe out on SS2 going over backward on the climb into the finish box.

It was a bit cool if you were in the open, but down in the gully was not too bad.

Tomorrow will be a bit cooler but fine.

Some great SS planed for tomorrow and as stated before Sunday will have a super SS to finish of the weekend.

That is all from ARB XWC Base - Royal Hotel.

More updates tomorrow night.

Cheers
