60' mastercyl - 80' mastercyl
Whats the difference? The 60' master is 1"bore. Are the internals different for rear disc 1" bore 80's?

4piston vented disc front calipers-Hilux vented disc
1 piston subaru w/hbrake on the rears- Pootrol vented disc
And what proportion valve should i run, Toyota or custom screw adjust type?

Don't know.about.the boosters but with the proportioning valves the toyota one is load sensing where a the screw type is just set and doesn't change. Being a offroad car and I'd assume not being used for towing if just go with the screw type.
93 RV, 5 in tough dog lift, dobinsons shocks and coils, PA, dual fuel, many many oil leaks and a ton of character.

The 60 prop valve is bracketed onto the master.
Does anyone know if the screw type are adjustable?
Won't be towing much. The braking will be a huge upgrade, but it is to be engineered.

Hey mate,
Pretty sure 60 series master cylinders have a 7/8" bore while 80 series (non ABS) have the 1" bore. They're also internally valved differently to suit the disc rear.
It's probably just a splitter on the master. The proportioning valves are at the rear of the car with an arm that attaches to the diff so that less pressure is applied to the rear brakes as more weight is transferred to the front of the vehicle.
I'd see how you go without the proportioning valve. You want the front to lock up just before the rears do. If it needs adjusting, get an adjustable proportioning valve and go from there. I'm certain they're engineer-able if fitted with a lock nut and under the bonnet.

Im looking at getting one of those hand adjustable ones, i have read they need to be out or reach etc for engineering.

So i either i buy a new master for an 80' for $130 or make do with my 60' one. What should i do?

Oops! Sorry! The 60' might not be 1". Cant see a size marked.

Be careful there are abs and non abs masters for80 series.I just replaced my master cylinder in my non abs 80. They can be had for under 100 brand new on ebay
