what hp are 1uz lux's getting @ the wheels?

Post by -DE_LUX- »

Hey all, dyno'd the lux the other day with stock manifolds and Ecu and run 210 HP with 33's @ the wheels. Half allright for a STD engine. What's everyone else getting?

No idea, never dyno'd mine, never had the need to.
Unless your trying to get big HP or fine tuning it, personaly I think dynos are only good for wank factor bragging writes.

I agree with you there, it was on the dyno to check fuel mixture, how far out the speedometer was and visual on a tailshaft. Ran it while it was there out of curiosity.

Sounds about right depending what year model engine you have, gearbox etc. Manual gives a higher number. And the engines make more power after 96 and then again when vvti came in. Happy to say i have one of the better 96 ones. But has never been on the dyno

Seems another issue with this motor is Ive jammed the needle rollers in the uni into the uni pin shaft on the acceleration side. Any one else had this happen??

I'm gunna put new uni's and replace the rear yoke as well, it got stretched. See how that goes. It's a one piece by the way.

I have a dyno sheet here stating 190hp on the old engine. I feel bad but then I realise dynos are not really worth much in the real world.

I am mates with a guy who went to half a dozen different dynos with his VL Calais turbo and the variation was no shit 50hp atw. Shows how much variation you can get with these things and how useless the peak value is.

Mines been on three different dynos and returned pretty much the same figures on each. But it's not a Lexus so I can't help with their HP values.

I'm running a 92 crown import motor, has 70 k on the clock. Real healthy strong motor.
