holden 5L power steering pump to a gu steering box

hey all i have a vt 5ltr power steering pump going to a gu steering box and the power steering isnt working i have tryed a 2nd pump and no change is there a possability that my steering box could be blocked or the pump not flowing enough even at high rpm there is no difference. has anyone got a breakdown of the steering box that they could send me to i could check it out??

Don't bother with the Holden pump. Get someone to custom make a bracket to get the Nissan pump mounted. Iv been down this path ;-)

What pump did you use off what motor

you can pull the holden pump apart and stretch the springs internally and space it with a very small washer and it works heaps better. mine is fine but it sounds like you may have a different issue somewhere though.
only the first roll hurts, then its a ride..

yea its annoying thinking the steering box is blocked with something as it has been sitting around for years

shit hey wish i had of new at the comp andy (rag racing) is a wizz with the holden pumps. there easy to mod for more pressure and flow. but you have to get the new style pump vx onwards. have you checked pressure either side of the box?

Not as yet I changed the pumps at mackay didn't make a difference that's what makes me think it's the box
