12HT has got direct injection, piston cooling as well.
can handle tweaking

2h indirect injection no piston cooling.
not too good on tweaking, i wont put a turbo on mine.
runs too hot to turbo........for me.

pumps also boost compensator on the 12ht's. difference is heads, injector pumps, pistons and piston squirters, harmonic balancers, ive been told the cranks are different also not the stroke or anything just the angle on the balancer "apparently"

For the record my 2h Turbo makes 105rwhp on 10psi full boost at 1500rpm standard manifold inverted, no boost compensator.

So they do turbo ok. Also had a TO4 on a previous 2H which had a lot more pull with only 8psi but obviously came on a bit later.
I'm not quitting drinking, I'm retiring at the top of my game - sporting comeback likely.

my 2H has a turbo on it but she gets a bit hot on the long pulls.. i have a 12HT here im about to reco and put in im just trying to find out as much info as i can because it would be allot cheaper and easyer for me to reco the 2H thats in the car ( needs new valves ) rather then putting a 12HT in...

but seems like putting the 12HT is the way to go...??

I once did exactly what you are talking about, was tossing up between rebuilding the existing turbo 2H, or dropping in the 12ht.

I went the 12ht and never looked back.
