IFS WIDENING ISSUES

Just went to install my IFS widening kit from lockup 4x4 an the cap screw bolts supplied hit on the Bolts holding the stub axle in. anyone else had this issue
93 duel cab lux. 2.8 TD twin locked. Big tyres, little lift. Wide stance. Barwork and build up under way

yeh known issue, you need to remove about 2mm from the edges of the caps.

I think the marks adapter kits is the same.

Remove the spring washers on the stub bolts and locktite them in.

With the kits I sell I machine 2mm off the head of the cap screws prior to sending to the customer for this very reason.

If I had of known it involved modding I wouldn't have bought this kit. I read the instructions on the website and it doesn't mention anything about this. So not very happy. Would of returned them if they hadn't been painted black

Dont worry, spring washers are the devil. You are better off without them.

It doesn't bother me removing them. Haven't had a issue with any of there other products.

Just wish it was bolt in like states on the website

They shouldn't have gone out with that hardware I am sorry mate, we do have the shorter cap screws but someone has picked the wrong ones.

Chris man ita all good. I have used lock tight on the bolts as z()ltan has said and fixed the issue. Thankyou for giving me the option tho. I new if I had of rang would of been sorted. But it was a simple fix which is why I an not making a big deal of it. great customer service tho thanks very happy I bought the rest of my gear from you

I would like to say the problem had been fixed. I followed Z()LTAN's simple bit of advice Abd all is well.

This was the first product I had bought from locktup4x4 and had any issue with. ( very small issue at that) and I have many more parts to install that I have bought sitting in the shed. I will be buying from the. Again because the products they sell are TOP QUALITY and as you seen chris say" call him on Monday" it's GREAT customer service. And I will be buying from them again.
