RRC $ dicsos, front diffs/brakes

Post by nat p »

hay all,
Well came back from Hayfield after having a ball. BUT broke a front drive shaft(axle). So the plan is to put a Disco 1 front diff in it. Mine is a 1986 so my diff has the bigger front control mounts.

I really would a Maxi drive with axles etc (so if anyone has one! drop me a line). but I was also thiking of converting to the vented discs brakes as well. So the questions begin, is there a special year I should for, what year did they go to vented discs, can I ran the standard rear brakes but simply change the master cylinder.

So whats we all thinking??

Cheers NAT

Master will stay the same, just need dual circuit calipers and vented rotors. All just bolts on. Think i have some lying around i don't need. (calipers, not rotors)

The bolts holding the calipers to the diff are different sizes between the disco diff and the rrc diff - well they are 94 D1 vs 90 RRC.
