Redarc dual battery isolator

Post by ledgend80 »

Just wondering if anyone else has had problems with there 100 amp dual battery isolator. Currently my little red led in the isolator is not lighting up and does not seem to be charging my aux battery. Currently I am charging my aux battery with a charger. Any ideas as to why the red led is not lighting up

Ive had a few and they have always stopped working eventually, the little controller box gets too hot. Redarc updated the controller but still no go. Im now using ABR sidewinder isolators without a problem.

Funny, I'm the opposite :)

I've had nothing but problems with the ABR Sidewinder isolators. Has left me stranded out the bush before.....

I know this is a late reply, we use alot of the Redarc isolators at work, and it gets hot out here lol, we have very few problems with them, only really one I can think of off hand, and that ended up just being a bad earth for the control box.

HDJ80 bolted to the fuel filter bracket from memory, ran another wire from the mounting bolt/earth point to a decent earth on the body and no problems since.
The old Luxy was fun, but with a young family comes great responsibility.
So I swapped it for a 60. Should be able to take the whole mob camping, plus I got an extra gear, 2 less cylinders and A/C.
