Yes I agree with you there, but wouldn't the back left tuck a lot more? All the videos of the truck don't show anything at all. I'm guessing it's because the terrain is too easy for such a capable looking truck? Just wanted to see some pics or videos of some rockcrawling or decent ruts with some nice articulation. It looks like he has invested a lot of time and money into this thing especially it being on portals. Those videos just don't do it any justice IMO. Not taking anything away from it because I think that thing looks amazing!

Not in the position it was in. When a vehicle starts to torque twist like that, the vast majority of weight is transferred to the rear right side of the car and the car will want to lift the front left, as if its on a see-saw. The other springs will see very little influence at all from the weight transfer.

Erics vehicle is a one of a kind rover.
Honestly while the suspension isnt anything super, it isnt required IMHO. The amount of other tricky little bits of fabrication Eric has put into that vehicle makes it orsum.

Flex is over rated :finger:

Its no comp truck just a toy fully engineered and road legal for NSW :finger:

One year My Brothers car's winch was used to wake board across a canal for his mates birthday party,then a tinnie was used to take the rope back , he put a heap of telecom rope on it ;-) and in the video look at the tree's you might need to tilt your head to realize how steep it is ;-) man, i've watched his car change over the years , from leafs and a super charged 3.5 to portals and a nice turbo diesel .

I can believe that having seen the winch in action :D

Will be interesting to see how he finds the diesel in comparison to the blown 3.5 and how it effects the overall driveability of the car - at least now the water holes at Glass House shouldn't stop the engine

Don't you have another brother with some other sort of rangie/series thingo thats not quite standard but looks pretty cool?

it is a very nice truck, havent seen it in person for a few years now though. But i do agree that spring rates (or suspension geometry) look though they may be a little out in the vid, but you can't really tell shiat from such a short snap....love it!!

Yeah my oldest bro has a rangie with balanced 3.5 V8 , series one / custom rollbar / body , soft top "LR" is what he named it , goes hard when its on the road, think the brakes need fixing ;-)

The 109 with the turbo diesel winches a lot better now as the winch is high geared and the extra torque is what it needed . The diesel seems a whole lot better than the supercharged V8 , less dramas and better on fuel. :armsup:
