Hey mate, shouldn't be too difficult as the VN/VP's used the same computer across both manuals and auto due to the hydraulically shifted T700. You'd need the auto, pedal box and a few other odds and ends. You'd also need an adaptor for the auto to transfer case. It might be easier to sell your drivetrain and start with a $350 engine and auto combo. The auto usually has to be half disassembled to replace the output shaft but it sounds harder than it is. I can help with advice on this if you want.

Depends on your setup at home. You only need a socket set and circlip pliers. Your transfer case crossmember might be fine but a gearbox crossmember would have to be modified.

i only have one cross member under the transfer case not one under the gear box
So i need to get gearbox to transfer adaptor ,modify output shaft, change pedalbox, get gear box cross member. Is that all i need to get???
Any body interested in swapping there Auto set up for my Manual set up??

Hi mate,

yep thats all you need
You will not need to change the manual pedal box (I just disconnected the clutch and now its a mad footrest)
Gear box crossmember is probably not essential, but wouldn't hurt either. Do it down the track.
The adaptor leaves your transfer case in exactly the same place, so you can use your existing transfer crossmember.
(I had duals and the adaptor mated up to the first transfer sweet as it was still in the factory position)

Why you wanting to get rid of the manual mate?? I've always had auto, but my mates V6 lux still uses the G52 box
and it drives well.
The Lux is back. New and Improved v2.0!
