IFS REARS/ HOW MANY LEAFS TO REMOVE?
Hey all new to the site was just wondering if anyone could let me know how many leafs do i remove from a pack of IFS rears i have taken the bottom Load spring out is this right? or will i get to much axle wrap? if anyone could let me know whats the right leaf to take out and also i only took the bottom leaf off cos i dont know how to Undo the rest of the leaf pack so if anyone could post a thread on how to undo them or put some pictures in this thread would be awsome. im new to all these kinds of mods and any help would be greatly appreciated cheers.
Re: IFS REARS/ HOW MANY LEAFS TO REMOVE?
I think most guys will remove the bottom load leaf.
I took the bottom load leaf out, then cut a bit off each end until it was 300mm long, then put it back in.
The reason why is, I didnt want to lose any height, and I still wanted to have something there to prevent the leaves turning into a W.
I am planning on making a track bar for it too.
If you do a search for IFS rears, you should find lots of info, plus theres info in the Lux bible, which is at the top of the Yota Tech page.

Alright thanks heaps for that mate. I'll cut the bottom load leaf down and wack it back in dont wanna wrap them and don't have the money for a track bar at the moment. Cheers kieran.
Re: IFS REARS/ HOW MANY LEAFS TO REMOVE?
There are many ways to make IFS rears work, I havent seen anyone else cutting load leaves down, its just what I did.
Do a search through the tech sections, look at what members did in members build ups, ask them some questions.
Im no expert on how to make suspension work, and there are a hell of alot of people on here that do know how to make it work properly.
Some people mix and match leaves from different leaf packs to come up with a setup that works for them.
What other mods do you have planned for the rear??
