Tube clamps that have a wide range of uses but here used as a mirror bracket

To keep the tailgate/wheelcarrier alignment & have the tube work look continuous I slipped over some tube on the tailgate & notched out.

More little things on Twisty's old 40. The cage fouled on the doors (which I knew would happen) so
I did a bit of panel work to follow the tube cage lines.

And the result, pretty good I thought.

Seat belt & cartridge mount onto cage to keep DOT happy. Solid bar placed thru the cage tube which was drilled & tapped to suit seatbelt swivel mount.

After pissing off the LPG system I had on the 40, I was left with a dirty big hole in the rear quarter where the filler was.

Brooksy, and Struth, you blokes should b e disqualified!

My rig is nothing out of the ordinary, a couple of things I have done that I really like are

rear tail gate storage hatch for my recovery gear. its accessible, out of sight, always on board and takes up no cargo space anywhere else

Image
hatch closed

Image
slam latches, one finger operation

Image
all my recovery gear, tyre deflator, snatch strap, tree trunk protector, 20m winch extension strap, bow shackles, snatch block, winch control, puncture kit, glove, drag chain etc

Image

water bottle for camping. easy to fill a drink bottle from, wash hands, or get water for cooking.
Fill the bottle in the car, one handed operation, no tricky pumps etc, so it is always 'ON', it just uses gravity, simple idea and I set it up with about $10 bucks of gear from bunnings and a 20l water jerry. It works a treat

hose hanging up out of action

hold the end of the hose above water level, flow stopped

Image
hold the end of the hose down below water level, water flows to fill pots, bottles, wash hands, fill up a dog etc

Hello all

I have fitted a few cool mods to my patrol
like the cup holder in the cab that they forgot to fit in the old gq when it was on the production line
or fitting flexiable light leds to the head lining so i can read maps without waking the kids

would post a few pic's but still a newby.

I am sure they have all been done before but there you go.

Had issues with the old GU overheating when towing so cut some extra holes in the bullbar.
Aim was to try and keep it looking half decent and as original as poss. First time use of Plasma cutter - specially liked the way the W hole duplicated the original
