37's on 79 series ute

Post by jenno »

JUst wondering if anyone has put 37's on a crusier ute without having to do any front guard mods, currenlty got 5-6 inch lift but was unsure if 37s will fit in the front with full flex etc, got custom -40 rims on front.
Trying to figure to go 35's or 37s for a second set?????
any ideas welcome pls

Ok thanks, when u say trim the guards were abouts did u have to trim? case its a daily drive as well, just building a new tray atm about 50 mm highier than my old one. is it worth going the 37s or stick to the 35s u think

i run 35s on my 79 series with 2" lift ,some times up front i put coil spacers in to make it 3" lift , no rubbing problems except under heavy flex, in the rear they rub on the chassis also running snake racing shackles but springs are sagged, once you start offsetting the rims up front you will start rubbing more.in just running the std gxl 105 series steelies

I seen a 79 series exactly the same as that about a year or so ago about 2 hours south of perth in the bush tracks, i presume it was your old one as it also had shocks going through the tray etc.
Great looking rig
