Compression testing cold td42

Post by AFeral »

Got myself a cheap patrol td42 ute. The engine is very tired 200-290psi per cylinder. So whilst I'm limping this engine around thought I would keep an eye out for a replacement td42.
So my question is what pressure should I be seeing on cold compression test on a second hand td42. Are there any other things to check when buying one of these engines second hand.
Thanks feral

stock compression should be around the 427psi with a +/- 80psi differential between cylinders.
i have a rebuilt short motor at home that im selling and i only recently comp tested it because it wouldnt run, reason being was a faulty injector pump.
