gu tail lights ?

Post by gqmudder91 »

hello i just got my gu patrol about a month ago and i noticed that my tail lights on the drivers side don't have bulbs in them and no place to put them so i checked the wiring but there is only 2 wires on that side and the passenger side has a lot more wires so i was wandering if they come out like that and how hard would it be to wire in another taillight in the drivers side so it works ? cheers Ryan

Assuming you mean the latest GU wagons, with only the passenger side reverse light working. Pretty easy to modify. You can buy replacement lights off Ebay, or mod yours. I modified mine, simply a set of bulb holders, holesaw, silicone, and trailer 6 core. Takes around 2-3 hrs to do.

You should only have one working light there which will be p/s reverse light .

I had the same upgraded te lights to Gu S2/s3 lamps with indicators , reverse tail n brake both sides.
Some wires are there some you need to run yourself ,

I used a PDF file someone had posted I'll try find it when I am on pc and link it to here
