Can you describe how you are trying to open the waste gate?

If its still connected to the actuator I find it's real hard to open by hand.

I was using multigrips but also air it should actuate at 7
I gave it 100 & all it was doing is bending the bracket...
I'll give ya the whole story ,
To much oil steep climb out the breather fed the turbo ,
Luckily a mtr from the top ,
Full noise won't shut off won't stall running on oil...
Luckily just enough to go a min of full noise & not full failure ,
started a min later drove back to camp cleaned all of the piping
To remove oil topped up water
because when she finally stopped ,
water was bubbling back into the overflow...
This was thurs morn .. Day before good Friday
It's my daily & still is ... I 4wd rest of thurs , fri
No probs Left to go into warwick for supplies
all good just pumpin out the black,
stopped for rbt as I accelerate away
notice shes headin to reds
Pull over let her cool make it into Warwick no prob
While the missus gets the goods
I feed the car water while it's runnin .
Go to supercheap get some chemiweld
Drive back to camp no prob...
Rip out thermostat test bit shit
Left it out topped up with water no prob
Continued 4wdriving sat , sun left to come home mon
Camper & pretty much more than I'd ever packed before,
Loaded to the hilt halfway to the gap
Starts gettin hot pulls over let it cool get her to the servo
Juice up let her cool hit the gap
A third of the way up she's headin to the reds
I throw her back int 3rd boot it & she actually cooled down
Stopped at aratula (gfc)
Found top hose( return ) squashed in
Bent a spring from a bucket handle
shoved it in the hose & no prob got home .
Drove to work for the week
& replaced thermostat ...

Since then I have replaced glow plugs ,
All the ends are all smashed off
They are 2/3rds the length of new .
Injectors 1 of them had its own nozzle wrapped around itself
& yes I was still driving daily for 3 elks before I did the inj...
I only just done my glow plugs
The tensioner spring for the timing belt was stretched &
the pump had advanced around 2 cogs...
So yeah she's gone thru hell but she's still blowin a lot of black even though
I've turned the pump right back & she's boosting up so I thought maybe after
The incident it was so red hot that after it closed she's welded ....
I don't know , all I know is I can't afford $97 / hr
For someone to try & fix fucknose .... You get me aayyy...
Cheers Azwa

That's a bit of an epic story up there and frankly, a little hard to follow so I'm just going to address your waste gate issue for now if that's ok.

Remove the actuator rod from the waste gate lever (circlip?) and try to move the waste gate lever by hand. If it moves freely, replace your actuator. If it is still jammed shut, it's time to pull the dump pipe off and see what's going on in there, at which point you might like to seek advice from a turbo repairer. Mention the series of events you described above, but without offence, do it by phone. :)

Good luck.

A safari manifold will use a garret flange (probably t3) so a ct26 (square Toyota flange) will not bolt on. There's a good chance your turbo could be repaired/rebuilt.
