HJ 75 Pitman arm adjustment

Post by Indy50 »

Hi
I have a 1989 HJ 75 series Land Cruiser

At the moment there is a fair bit of play with the pitman arm stud on the Drag Link side when turning the steering wheel backwards and forth.
I've been told that you can adjust the slack out of the stud but from memory there is only the seats, spring and a plunger in there.
It's been a while since I had it apart and I could be totally wrong.
Any advice welcome

Some you can, not all aftermarket, there is usually a slot for a big screw driver in the end, just wind it in or replace the joint
