Winch rope

Post by ifslux »

Hi guys. I'm Looking at getting some rope for my high mount for comp work, it has a standard length drum but with a smaller centre pipe and is pulling a uted range rover. Just wondering what brand are people using, what size and length and were is the best place to get it from ?

Cheers ifslux.

11 or 12 mm rope, you should get at least 40metres on it.
As for brands, take your pick. A lot use the tigers11 rope and it seems fine.

I've been running the dyeema stuff for five years now without any issues - looking into some Amstel blue for the new winch due to some good deals online from the states at the moment.
