Cromolly cvs in a 80 series

Post by TUFFAS »

Just wondering if anyone had any problems with running cromolly cv's in a 80 series because I seem to have created a loud noise coming from the swivel hub area, has anyone had to grind a bit of the housing to help clear the cv's

Well I'm going to pull it apart and see what I can I find because when I fitted dirty 30's to my 40 it didn't have any clearance issues

40 CVs are a different size to 80 series...
Earlier Lux knuckles sometimes need clearancing but 80 series knuckles should have... Id be inspecting your kingpin bears etc...

What were you doing when it went Bang?? possibly broken or stripped a spline too...
