I just installed some LED tray lights on my GU ute. Everything works fine except one indicator. The left one goes quick now. I have read that because the LED lights draw so little power the car thinks an bulb is out and therefore will flash faster.
Why would it only be happening with one indicator? A month ago my left indicator flashed fast with the normal lights on a short trip but was alright after that. Is there something wrong with the wiring to that indicator? Or will I have to fit a resistor to the left side to load up the circuit?
Any thoughts?

Maybe the bulbs in the rest of the L side are sus? If one intermittently goes to lunch, your flashers will go fast because of that.

Dunno off the top of my head why it is doing it, but you can buy replacement LED indicator relays from China for about $1.99 delivered on ebay, which will put the flash rate back to the normal factory flash rate. Did you know that there is even an Australian Design Rule regarding the flash rate...?

As most led lamps are multivolt they don't pull enough amps to slow them down.
You can try replacing the front indicators to brighter globes or bursons stock resistors, that you wire in and that fixes the issue it's a 5 min job with a soldering iron

You may just need a non-load sensitive flasher relay. Stock relays are usually load-sensitive, and they are designed to flash faster so that you can see when a globe has blown.
It's weird that it only happens with one side though.

Throwing a 12v relay in to adjust the supply should work fine as long as there is no short in any other light.

a led flasher can is what you need to fix that it happened on my bike as well

Its actually an ADR requirement so fitting one of these may make the vehicle unroadworthy.
The correct method would be to fit a resistor to add load so if there is a failure in the system then the tell tale flashes fast.
