Bilstein Shock valving

Post by Baja Burley »

buying some billies for the lux and dont know whether to go with 170/60 valving or 255/70.

Its an LN65 with holden 308 and T700 behind it. Lux diffs running 33's and 35's. RUF front setup and custom soft rears.
Its setup to crawl without too much in mind for road manners, although it still is driven on road to all parks.

Which valving suits the truck better?

I believe most go with 255/70.

I had 255/70 in my FJ40 with custom leaf springs. Ride was nice and soft but it did have some bodyroll which took a little to get used to.

i got 14'' bilstein inverted in the rear of my lux with custom 5 leaf pack with 255/70 valving and its the best thing i ever did.the rear is so soft now compared to when i had the original setup with extended shocks.
it has alot more bodyroll now though as the tops are nearly touching together so when your cornering it pushes the inside of the car up.
