navara running rough

turbo diesel running rough under power checked for water in the fuel but nothing, engine light coming on any ideas?

I went through the processes of checking fuel tank for water then swapped out the fuel filter and problem fixed looked like heaps of bugs in the filter no idea how they got there but problem fixed. cheers for the advice

Hay mate when ever you replace a fuel filter on a YD25 you are suppose to carry out a fuel pump relearn its so the ECU knows that it has a new filter and it backs off the fuel pressure and they run smoother cheers Rick

deleting fuel pump data is for the common rail engines. so engines like the ZD30 and early YD25 it doesn't apply.

Hello you can not do a fuel pump relearn on a ZD30 and you can do it on all YD25 D40's and R51's. all you are doing is resetting it !! there is nothing to delete all you are doing is backing off the fuel pressure cheers
