Politically incorrect typing now there's a new one.
We promise NOT to do it again. How's that????

Not long to go now. A few of the Tough Track competitors had a good time doing some speedy stuff at Farm Fantastic over the weekend.

So would the competitors from Challenge Class like some tunes similar to the Outlaw class? It can be arranged if there is enough interest.

I'm looking forward to setting out some more long tracks, a few technical sections and the odd steep bit.

Well we've been up to The Springs for trackbuilding for Rnd 3 and we have some interesting & fun tracks for all classes.

We will also be having a night run for all classes on the Saturday night and it will be a quick fun track - just ask Ricko - with fast gully runs & 3 hill climbs it should be a hoot.

Saturday night run.

Rules for night run:
• Unlocked cars to compete first, random order thereafter, first in, best dressed.
• The track will have the same start and finish gate.
• Any competing team that touches the bunting in the finish gate will receive a 30 sec time penalty
• Any team that breaks the bunting in the finish gate, i.e. drives through it, will be DNF’d
• Teams may or may not use a navi, navi’s are not to leave the car
• Teams with a navi must have window nets on both front doors, proper road going ADR approved helmets for both driver and navi, full size doors, Outlaw Class will require full coverage window nets in the case of buggys and cut down doors etc.
• Any roll over, lay over, failure to climb a hill etc will result in a DNF
• 10 min DNF
• Class specs are free which means tyre size can be changed, air lockers can be used in trophy cars etc (No rules on vehicle spec, just safety, no NOS)
• Fastest time wins, how the prizes are broken up will depend on end results. I.e. if only one Mod class car competes and has a shit time, he won’t necessarily get a prize. But if the top four cars are all Outlaw Class, then prizes will be divied between all classes.
• Time penalty for breaking bunting – 30 sec.
• We will only wait 5 minutes for another car, after that, we are finished for the night even if registered cars are yet to compete.
• The navi may drive the course in a separate run
• Any driver can only drive the course once. But only registered teams and team members of the tough tracks challenge Round 3 are able to compete.
• ZERO alcohol limit
• For each entry, a minimum of $5 of raffle tickets must be bought.

This will be a hoot. It is drivable unlocked, I have done it. However the whole time I was wishing for bigger tyres and more barwork (and a bit more power). So all classes should have a good time driving this course. I have cars in mind from all classes that are capable of winning outright in this stage, so have a go and try and show up the bigger trucks! Also outright power won't win this track either. There are good lines where if you commit to some speed you will go through very clean and make good time. So no excuses, I would love to see every car have a crack. A smart drive and you won't risk breaking anything either for Sunday's track.

It's not too late to nominate. Jump on our website and nominate, pay bia direct deposit or call Ben E. to make arrangements.

If you're thinking of competing next year, this is the time to get out and have a look or even have a trial round to get a feel for the competition, ready for next year.

It should be a great weekend, weather is looking great, plenty of awesome tracks for all classes, and a massive raffle with some great prizes to be won. Spectators will have a great time, as The Springas have great facilities, the tracks are very easy to access and the night run is very close to the camping area, just walk up with your esky and chair and wait for the action.

So any tips for who is going to take out the night run??? I will be watching The Hulk with his 5 litre v8, Team GU Ute with a v8 also and the Amada Extreme Hilux. From Outlaw, not sure who is coming, The Firebug? Jimny extreme maybe after their training run at Farm Fantastic? Plenty to choose from, all wanting to win some prizes.

See you all out there.

Well Round 3 is finally here. Looks like we have a great field of contenders.
There will be some stand out driving this weekend from competitors who are fighting for end of year placings and those who are trying to keep their placings they have already achieved.
Weather looks to be holding out with no rain forecast.
Remember the Saturday night raffle is on with some great prizes on offer so don't forget to bring your $$$$$$$$$.
So come on out and enjoy the show and relax have a few ales and watch the carnage unfold.
