Post by fiftyfrenzy »

Hi guys just wondering if anyone knows of anyone good that can do mod plates for my hilux around the Gold Coast area.

items looking to be engineered:
crossover steering,
shock hoops,
creeper joint shackle hangers
and seat swap

i would also like to talk to some one about bodylift, an external rollcage, and brake upgrades
also not sure if i need blue plates for tube bar and tray on a LN106
any help would be much appreciated,

The mods that you are asking to be Blue plated cannot be done without prior approval from Qld Transport first. And don't be surprised if you get a no from them on most of the items.

You must submit request on Form 1854 with all the details of what you want to do.

The reason for this is that there are no Codes that will cover what you want to do (apart from the seats).

This is just some advise for you, if you find someone that says they can sign off on it, refer to Transport first, only a phone call away.

The NEW National Code for vehicle mods starts in Queensland from the 1st November 2012

Hey davd not to correct you because I know what you are doing, but I have a current drama regarding my blue plate and my canary sticker on my windscreen. ( see my thread under Toyota) one drama I have is my 1" body lift. I have contacted Shane at vehicle modifications and he has advised me you can now do a K3 code, this will cover your body lift. Other then this and the seats I think you are out of luck sorry fiftyfrenzy
