Hilux gearbox breather?

Post by Sean24 »

Hi all, just wondering if there's a breather anywhere on my luxs gearbox? Its an 86 LN67 with a G52 (I believe) gearbox. I've got breathers on my diffs already, but couldn't seem to spot anywhere to put a breather on the box?

Sorry for the n00b question!

I couldnt find one on mine either, I have the same box as you, and apparently, you have to drill and tap into the housing to fit a breather.
I just left it.

Hi there, i have an LN106 with a G52 box and think you will find the Breather for this box on the top on the shifter housing. Tap in to that once you have removed the old breather. Do this after you have removed the housing first. That way you will not get swarf in your box.

Gain access from inside the cab.
Cheers Matt
