Hey guys, I'm just after a little insight into some 'beginner comps'
So I have been wheeling heaps, but soon my hilux will be on the road, and some more mods will begin
But is love to try a few different comps, initially I thought I'd take it for a run I'm a few autocross's and maybe a rallysprint or two as o have been into my rally cars before and have all my cams licenses aswell. But its not really 4 wheel driving lol so what comps are their out their that would suit me?
I'm in NSW, and I'm no where near TT standard lol I have just a 3" lift and new 33's although soon I plan to go more haha.
I'm just after any suggestions. Thanks heaps.

Re: 'beginer comps'
Look at son of trials in November.. Or opposite lock challenge next year.
I think there will be a 2013 4wd jamboree (I think I heard) don't quote me on that..
That's wat I can think of which are great entry level comps.. And are a ton of fun.
If you get more serious you could look at willowglen, but will be a bit out of your league at the moment..
Couple to think about.

The Nissan Patrol Club run Son Of Trials in Feb, down at River Island, just out of Mittagong.
They run 3 classes....
Standard- exactly what it sounds like, standard.
Touring- max 4inch lift and 33s, no lockers.
Traction Plus- same as Touring, but factory fitted lockers allowed.
They arent scored like other comps like Willowglen or Tuff Truck. Instead of getting points for how far you drive, each track has a set time for it, and you get points for how close to that time you are when you finish it.
The tracks arent overly hard, but still lots of fun, and can be challenging to get the times right.
Its a really good atmosphere, and you dont need to be a member of a club to compete.
They also run Son Of Trials Plus in Nov. Im not 100% sure on the classes, or specs for the classes.
The info should be up on the Patrol Club website, or theres probably a thread in this comps section about it.
Other comps would be the Bushranger Clubkhana, held at the Willowglen property, not long after SOT in Feb.
Theres also the Opposite Lock Challenge, formerly known as Black Rat.
And the Jamboree, if it ever happens again.
1 thing though, for SOT in Feb, your vehicle needs to have factory suspension mounts. If you have changed your spring or shock mounts, you wont be eligible to enter, I know from experience.
