Well Body for Hilux

Post by 2LOW »

I have a rusted well body that need replacing.

It's a 85 model. Can I use earlier or later models to replace it?

Ive seem tubs from later models on the early models. They seem to fit easily enough, but the lines on a later model are different to the early models.

So to answer your question, yes you can interchange them.

^^^but look like shi :bad-words:
In all honesty it would be nearly impossible to find one in good cond, and if it was would be pretty $$ you can't repair the one you have or put a flat tray on it?

It wouldn't look real good mixing the two body shapes up with trays, but up to you.
Or find one in better cond and repair that, but it is a 4by and if used as one its gonna get dented/scratched. Nothing to dent/ scratch on a flat tray.

Thanks guys..

If I can't find another 85 then I'll get a quote on fixing up the one I have. Then make a decision from there. As it will be use as a 4x4 I'm expecting dents, scratches etc etc
