KOH 2013

Post by MogLux »

So King Of Hammers is just about apon us once again .. who is going over , who intends on watching the live feed, who doesnt give a shit...

Most of the same guys who pitted for Nick and Mal are heading back to pit once again  with the addition of Pete Antunac, Bug, Dean and Hazard, and being we are in the same pit as Ben Napier once again im sure ill be helping him out also..

Dave Camp is heading over as Bens Pit cheif, with Daves experience in the V8 ute pits it will be awesome to see him in action..

Both Nick & Mal have another new Jimmys 4x4 rig they will be competing in and we cant forget the new Koala Punch Ultra 4 of Bens, this thing is of umbelievable qaulity . http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/general- ... ation.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Rumor has it that Criddy has also entred and shipped his vehicle from Aus to the Valley.. Will be interesting to see how they stack up to the big budget teams.. I wish them all the best and im sure i will see them on the valley .

Its good to see more and more Aussies making the trip each yr..

I am hoping to make it over in a pit crew but still a bit up in the air due to work commitment uncertainty.
Otherwise live feed for sure

In Criddy's pit, but I also had to catchup with a couple people, guys at Artec, Whypave & have a drink with Randy Rodd.
I was originally going to head over with Pete A. but work change held me back from commiting outside talking to Pete & what his original plans were. But I had intentions to help out any of the Aussie guys, it is just a huge bummer with timing & changing jobs especially now that I can afford it.

I will be there navigating for Team Gigglepin, drop in for a beer if you see us.
Heading over on Jan 26 to pre-run some tracks, should be as much fun as the actual race...

Yeah I am torn something fierce !!!
I can afford to go but I am only on my 3rd full swing with the new job, not to mention the wife a bit put out with a big $$ spend so early too. I will be supporting Criddy & Johnsey in another way if I can't make it anyway. Basically I have a week left on my decision but to be honest I regretfully doubt I will.
Just hope KOH gets another year at JV as I WILL be there next year !!

Ok, so sounds like there is a few Aussies coming over this year. Let's do a bit of a get together. Sunday (the 3rd) afternoon - 4pm. We're not allowed to pre run that day and the bikes will be done racing by then. At my pit - 100 Yukon - look for the big Aussie flag. All welcome. I'll have a few beers and snack available. Come and introduce yourself if I don't know you already. If anyone manages to smuggle me some Australian beer that would be awesome!

Everyone going to KOH should create an account and sign this E patition. I think we can learn alot from the way Americans fight land use issues.

So our new winch turned up in Sydney today.... Fark me wow.. :D twin motor low mount 9000lbs... Only problem is we will have to modify the front winch mount on the desert next Thursday..

The hole where we need to fit it in ... We will be removing the old 8000lb low mount

The winch

The motors are already in the states.. We will be loading this in our bags in pieces to ship it over.. Then rebuild when we get there :D

Not long now so don't forget to watch the live links..
