The Mackay Offroad Challenge is on again from 29 March to 1 April 2013! The event will be held on the Cathu O'Connell River Road, Yalboroo -- north of Mackay.

Nominations will be open on 10 January 2013. This year, the nomination form is online at: http://www.fnqoffroadchallenge.com/2013 ... tions.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The rules and regulations are online at the above link. There will be two classes, open and modified. Major changes to the rules from the previous years are that ALL vehicles must have a role cage, harness and driver / co-driver must wear a neck brace.

There will also be 36 nomination spots available.

Spectators are welcome, camping available. Entry is $10 per person/per day, or $40 for the entire weekend. Kids under 15 free.

:rofl:

Rocky 3 car never required it. Lowmead 3 car doesn't require it. I just think its pointless to have a comp that any joe blow enter on 31s for fun change and say cages compulsory.

More cars go over social driving than at comps.

I just think its stupid but hey whatever ayyyyyyy

:D

Lowmead 3 car does require all of that Sheildsy!!

The only way it doesnt need a cage is if it has a stock engine.

And Morc has had multiple roll overs over the years and Lowmead has also had a few with some which could have been quite serious if it was not for the roll cages!

Good on guys for bringing in more safety into your comps. It will only take one comp to have a bad accident and someone get seriously hurt due to a lack of safety and the insurance companies will shut us all down or charge us ridiculous amount of $$ for coverage. Then they will have something to complain about.
