Converting a Nissan to a Hummer

Post by Mark2 »

Came accross this site today:

http://www.rhinobuggies.com.au/hammers.htm

The kits can be fitted to a leaf or coil sprung LWB Nissan chassis.

Looks like it would be a great project but not cheap.

Anyone had a good look at one yet?

One question in regards to those hummers

Are they registered as 'patrols' or ICV's ? in regards to using 35's??

agreed 110%...what a waste.

Both the H1 and H2 Hummers are not all that great. In my town is many of both and you never ever see them on a trail. Conclusion....the Hummer is a yuppie truck. The only reason I can see to put a Hummer body on a P-troll is because the Hummer sucks and the P-troll does not!

so you go the auctions and buy a rolled gu for 3 grand, you then have 1 of 2 choices. spend 20,000 on a new GU body or a hummer conversion.

I know i wouldnt even look sideways at the GU option.

I would have agreed with you right up until I looked at the photos of the interior of the "hammer".

It looks seriously crap.
