Turbo 1fz mod cost.

Post by Glenn-80 »

How cheap could you get this job done? Understanding that it's relative to how much work you can do yourself. Just after some oppinions.

What turbo would one run? I have a virtually new turbo from a late model defender at hands (diesel yes, but useable?)

Stand alone or interceptor type ECU, exhaust work, bit of intake work, oil lines, etc, etc.

How cheap could you get it done?
I fix Patrols all day. Then I get in my Cruiser and drive home.

I doubt your turbo would be suitable. I would reckon about this >

Turbo 2k
New injectors 1k
Fuel reg, high pressure fuel pump, surge tank 1.5k
Intercooler and piping 1k
Stand alone computer fitting and tuning 1.5k
Piping, hoses, lines, sump mods under 1k

That's 7k
I'm not quitting drinking, I'm retiring at the top of my game - sporting comeback likely.
