Oil for lt230
Hey guys I run maxidrive reduction gears in my lt230 and was looking to see what other people think is the best oil for the case? It owes me a lot of money so I wanna take care of it. Cheers

Re: Oil for lt230
Google Hi tech oil or Fuchs oil and look at the catalog for a 1998 landrover Defender or Disco look what they say put in the transfer.

80/90 is what they say but I have been running a good quality 75/90 for a few years now. If you want a little extra protection I would get a bottle of the Lucas oil stablizer and put about 100m in wit hthe oil.

Re: Oil for lt230
I just switched from regular 80w/90 to Penrite Full synthetic 75w-90.
I also have 49% reduction gears.
Never have I drained my transfer oil to it looking this good;
