5 liter bundera g/box

Post by stuart45 »

Hi All, just bought a 87 bundy with a commodore injected 5 liter in, got it cheap due to blown gear box, had stock g52 box with 1st gear destroyed, can anyone suggest a replacement toyota box that will bolt up to the g52/5L bellhousing and the bundera transfer case and be strong enough for the 5L, don't want to waste time and money puting another g52 in, at this point im leaning towards a th400 or th700 any advice would be appreciated.

the only gearbox that bolts to a g52 bellhousing is... G52.

so your options are wide open - get what ever gearbox you want, if you get a TH you'll need a transfer adapter kit. You can try and find a R151F from a bundera or 105 series diesel if you want to keep it manual - need a bellhousing etc.

Have heard of the r151 being ok behind a v8, they are a strong box but you are better off with the auto (strength wise)
Cost a bit more to setup a r series box then th box
3.0L turbo diesel, 4" lift, bud's front housing, track assasin cv's, air lokker front + Rear, beadlock'd 37 stickies, high steer, 15.5" travel ranchos, high pinion diff and coils on the rear
