Exedy XI - RFC - CANCELLED & NO MORE.

Post by XTREME MMM »

It is with regrets that I have to cancel the Exedy XI - RFC Australia due to the lack of support for the event.

I would like to thanks all the Sponsors, Supporters, Officials & past Competitors that made this the toughest event out there.

To the Teams that competed last year can say now that they were the last Teams to have competed an XI.

Thank again to all those that made this event possible.

Cheers
David Metcalfe

As this is getting close I need to know who is keen and ready to come to the hardest winch comp in Australia.

The Exedy XI - RFC has more SS, longest event, more winching, more bum time then any other event in Australia.

And unlike other events in Australia, everyone walks away with something.

Entries must be in before 2nd September with a 50% deposit ($825) non-refundable. If the event is cancelled all deposits will be refunded.

Please email for the format of the Exedy XI - RFC.

Enquires:- info@xtreme4x4sport.com.au or call 0418 745 830

I do not know why the Exedy XI - RFC scares people, maybe it is because the event is played fair & square or it is the winching nearly every SS or the 4 GPS runs or they do not like the 8 sprint runs over the 8 days or it may be, not walking every SS first or watching and being on course when the other competitors are competing.

This is a great value event ($1650 entry), couple of meals tossed in over the week, plenty of SS, lot of seat time, everyone walks away with something.

Based in the one camp all week, hot showers & flushing toilets, internet connection (if you ask me nicely), open and transparent with no hidden rulings.

But I do need numbers (10 paid entries) to make this possible. Call me and talk if you are keen.

It would be great to see some of the CQ guys down for this one, maybe to hard.

How many Noms have you got so far??

P.s You may find you'd have enough competitors to run this event if you changed up your rules a little and allowed people to watch stages? It would make the week a lot more social and enjoyable for competitors (maybe that's what's missing from the recipe?) Just a thought.

Why change the rules.

This is a very social event, just ask past competitors, but when the count down starts, it is up to the event organiser to make sure it is fair on all.

It is not fair on the teams that are on the course to have other competitors on course watching closely what they are doing.

As you have not been to one of my events for years you don't really have any idea what goes on now.

You will find that I do walk codrivers or drivers or both for that mater through some of the SS. Yes and on most SS they are watching from a distance.

But unlike other Queensland winch challenge events out there that allow competitors to watch & walk the course before during or at any time they want, Xtreme 4x4 Sport will not allow this to happen.

I find it very unfair allowing drivers & codrivers to be standing at the bunting or being on course watching the other Teams go through an SS. Teams can watch when they have competed in that SS.

The Exedy XI - RFC and ARB XWC would be the most transparent events out there, no one is kept in the dark, results are up each morning of the Exedy XI - RFC and open to competitors inspection each day. Results posted are just not points for the SS but show times and any penalties, this way the Teams know exactly where they are, and can comment if a possible mistake has been made.

Ian, as you said to get more numbers means changing the rules allowing them to watch the SS up close and on course while a competitor is competing, making it unfair on the Teams who are competing, I would rather not run the event.

The Exedy XI - RFC is a great event, it was the first to use a Base Camp for the whole event, making it family friendly. Has the most SS of any other event out there, plenty of bum time, everyone walks away with something (the only event of its kind in Australia to do this). And is very social until an SS starts.

Don't forget entries close shortly.
