i m asking for a mate as i m a toyota man through and through. but he has a ford mavrick(GQ) and has a 4" dobinson lift and currently running some 33s
but he wants to run 35s so we bolted on my spare set (35x13.5x16 maxxis mudzillas) which are mounted to some 16x8s -22ish offset(i think) and the hit the rails majory so just wondering what offset to run. dont want massive stance of 16x10 but still dont wanna run wheel spacers or hit the gaurds

Re: rim offset
I have just fitted 315/75/16's to my GU and went for -22 offset (same as 35/15s I was running) but they were a little bit to wide to fit inside the flares, so I had to go back to -13 offset and works well. 16X8 ROH and still flexes up well with out rubbing.

Re: rim offset
negative 22 (-22mm) is what the standard Toyota off-set is. And that has worked for me on 285/75R16 and 35x12.50R15. You still get some rubbing on the chassi or around the rear seat belt bolts on the rear. Only way to stop that is to space the bump stops. Which is what I should have done. But never got around to.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY....
Re: rim offset
Well after being out on the weekend, the -13 with 315's do rub on the inner guards when at full flex at the rear. However they have a little more clearance to the front mudflaps when I have lock on which means I have returned with front mudflaps still attached, Just.

Re: rim offset
yer didnt touch gaurds was just hitting really hard on rails
we twimme3d the bumpstop mount(the plate its welded to that hangs off the side of the rails) so we ddnt slice up my tyres but wanna run them as they fit so nice. and give it a lovelt stance but cant afford to be hitting the rails as hard as it does
