difference between 98 & 99 engines

Post by ninety3 »

Hi all. Im looking at buying an Automatic 1999 105 with a dead 1fz-fe. I have found a wrecked 1998 105 with a 1fz-fe in it but its manual. Will I have any issues either logistically or legally in putting the 98 engine into the 99 and will it mate up to the auto box? Cheers, Col.

Should be OK.
If they are the same motor it will fit. Just need to swap all the bits off the dead motor onto the new one.
