H233 tailshaft question

Post by alexcliffo »

Hi Nissan gurus,

Just a quick one, are the pinion flange and t-case output flange on either end of a GU tailshaft the same. Reason being I am making a couple of tailshafts to fit H233 diffs at one end and LT230 transfer at the other - If I can get away with getting my hands on one complete tailshaft instead of two it would be sweet.

Ie would the t-case flange of the shaft fit on the pinion end?

Thanks in advance.

there are 2 types of flanges for a h223b, small or large. they differ depending what motor is in the Gu, 2.8 have the small all the other motors have the large flange, from memory all transfer outputs are same.
The small flange is the same size as the front diff

The transfer case rear output is the same size as the large pinion flange so all tail shafts bar the 2.8 are reversible. Front outputs and pinions are the same for all models
