Back at work now with only 1 hours sleep fresh from the event. What an absolute blast 
The tracks were awsum and slippery - dah! Some of the best hardcore wheelin I've done. Event layout was great and flowed well. Finished the last stage of 8 at 4.30 am. Have heard Birdy and Benny, The Atoc Boys and ourselves were the only ones to complete all 8 stages without a DNF but from the times we heard they absolutely whipped us. Think they will be fighting out 1st and 2nd and we maybe a chance for 3rd.
The tracks around Toolangi look a little different now

Wasnt a bad night, needed more competitors, as being a marshall (rocky tk) there was usuall about an hr+ wait between cars (mind you the first team took just under an hour and there was still an hour wait).
Seen some interesting driving techniques. There where only 3 cars that I thought where almost going to break something. Red shorty GQ almost tipped and 2 other cars giving it absolute shit and where sptitting out some of the biggest rocks (coily75, cant remember who the other was).
First teams problem was to much tyre pressure I think, as I drove it not that long before them (neither of them had front lockers though).
We didnt see 3 teams due to brakeages on other sections (so Drafty what did you brake ).
But other all was a good night.

We snapped the big shaft that goes from the gearbox into the transfer case.

Bogged as for the temp it wasnt that bad. The heavy dew was more annoying, but it did make things interesting on rocky tk.
We had ourselves a good litttle fire going. The most annoying thing was sitting/standing around waiting for the next competitor.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY....
We had a hoot of a time as the weather was perfect, moist (76mm of rain the previous 24 hr) yet not cold and the drizzle made it easy to keep your screen clean and see. Washed the 4b Sunday arvo and test drive to reveal no mech damage only a few more clearance dents. Looking forward to the Gippsland Go-down this week end as they usually have good day trips. Its been heaps of work keeping it in top mech condition after the abuse of the Simex and Navnites but thats what its all about (preperation preperation preperation)
