80 series part time kit not engaging properly
hey guys my 80 series is making a clunking noise when driving straight and turning only when I put it into 4wd. I don't think it is engaging fully and is slipping any one had this problem before.
Re: 80 series part time kit not engaging properly
Mate, just a question, did you put the P/T kit in or was it standard? If you did get it put in what brand? I have an 80 series and want to convert my front to P/T to save fuel and wear and tear.dave89 wrote:hey guys my 80 series is making a clunking noise when driving straight and turning only when I put it into 4wd. I would ring a 4WD place for possible diagnosis.
Cheers

hey mate put it in my self fairly easy job aye. i got the marks adaptors kit.
but in saying that i wouldnt convert a full time transfer again i would put one of the standard dx 80 series transfer case in its more reliable and your not worrying bout switching gear to pull it in to 4wd.
