ARB Winch Truck Challenge July: 20 teams nominated already!!

After having 20 teams nominate and compete at round 1 of the ARB WTC, Round 2 is sounding like we will have an even bigger field of competitors lining up to battle it out at what has now become one of the favourite competition sites in Central Qeensland which is Clarkey's Petrol Heads Paradise in Lowmead which is situated south of Gladstone down past Miriam Vale, and is home to the very popular Lowmead 3 Car Challenge which is run by the Gladstone & Districts 4wd Club!

Round 2 will have a good mix of stages with double the drive time of round 1 with the organisers planning to keep the stages bunted nice and wide once again so that bunting penalties will be near on non existant!!
It's also safe to say there will be alot less mud than what there was at Round #1 earlier this year, but we will still be looking to have competitors splash through some water and the odd section of muddy creek just to keep them on their toes! There will also be areas where they will be able to stretch their vehicles legs and put the foot to the floor!

With just over 30 days to go until Round 2 Nominations are slowly trickling in!

We had the chance to check out even more of the property on the weekend and found a few more good areas which will possibly be used.

Camping at the Lowmead site is very good, with two seperate Toilet/ Shower blocks which have hot water & flushing toilets!
There's also heaps of room to set up your camp and its all on nice short green grass. The property is also 2wd access with only a few Km's of dirt road (which is better than the Bruce Highway!!)
