Hello guys the names Andrew and this is my first foray into the world of off-roading. I just purchased a Suzuki Sierra off a bloke at work for 500bucks it runs but has oil leaking into the dizzy (requires cleaning after every drive) but other than that seems fine..I've always loved the Sierra's and this seemed like the perfect project.
I dont know much about it (model, year etc.) all I do know is its a swb, hard top, 2 seater.
Basically I'm just looking for info on the car and help with modifications etc..
Below is a pic of it any help identifying would be great (this is the only photo for now as I haven't picked it up yet), also if anyone has suggestions for modifications please let me know.

Re: Hi Guys - Suzuki Sierra Help Please
That is an SJ40 model Sierra which should have a 970cc F10A engine and four-speed gearbox. There are type 1, 2 and 3 SJ40's I think the type 3 ones have a plastic dashboard. Depends what sort of budget you have, but I would be looking at a 2" bodylift with a set of 31" tyres. When you put bigger tyres on Suzuki's the gear ratios need to be changed otherwise they are horrible to drive offroad because you have to slip the clutch to go slow enough over rocks etc. the best way to change the gearing is to fit transfer case gears fromhttp://www.lowrangeoffroad.com/index.ph ... -case.html These gears can only be fitted to the type 3 SJ40 transfer cases or the leaf-sprung 1.3 models.
Grow some balls.
That is all.
That is all.

Re: Hi Guys - Suzuki Sierra Help Please
I should ask is the sj40 the same as the sj410? I've been looking for parts online and most refer to the sj410.
Re: Hi Guys - Suzuki Sierra Help Please
Yep Same. Sj410 is the 1L motor
Sj413 is the 1.3L
Yours is also a "narrow track" The width of the wheel track. The other type is "Wide track"
