T/C Adaptor for T700?
Anyone here have any experience with a reputable transfer case adaptor for the T700 Auto?
I'm heading to auto in my 4runner and have decided to run the T700 , as I have a Holden 304 in it at the moment, I just need to be pointed in the right direction with a kit to bolt up the Auto to my transfer case.
Thanks.

Re: T/C Adaptor for T700?
Is the G52 a 5speed with the gear driven T/C ?
I fit the 308 with TH350 & i used Mark's conversions T/C addaptor... You nead to get a moddified TH700 rear shaft from them aswell... You just use the same coupling sleeve thats already in there.... I bought a TH350 service repair manual & did the transmission gut out myself & it's not that hard realy! TH350 & TH700 are very similar boxes too! Think they do one for chain driven now too & TH700 to patrol T/C....
If yours is the 5speed gear driven T/C (forward mount T/C selector stick) you use your exsisting coupling to join Transmission rear shaft to the T/C input shaft...
If your T/C is the gear driven one from the 4speed (top mounted T/C selector stick) then you will have to also purchase one of the 5speed ones from Mark's or source one from the wreckers...

Re: T/C Adaptor for T700?
Yeah I have an R151 and T/C case here too, but after a fair amount of research I 'm better off using the stronger gear driven TC from the G52 (Forward shift) then the chain driven TC from the R151 box.
I would have thought that the R series TC was much stronger then the G series TC, based on how rubbish the G series box is in the first place.

Re: T/C Adaptor for T700?
Why so many variant's i dont know... I would think the gear driven T/C is stronger but there's debate on that one too! I stick with what others recomend Gear driven... Don't think you can put reduction gears in a chain driven T/C either!

Re: T/C Adaptor for T700?
If this is not a daily driver, I would go for a LT230 transfer case from a rover. Cheap adaptor is made for about $300 and a case is about $350. It also has a lower ratio low range. You will kill a hilux transfer in no time.
