We'll do mundaring.

But lets get the date sorted. Dewse you can't make it till the 4th Sunday which is the 25th. I don't really mind which date it is.

Can everyone else make it on the 25th?

(seeing as it was Dewse's thread we probably should wait till he's here)

If not we will go again when he gets back!

Yeah I'm happy with what ever you guys decide. If you want to go on the 18th then i'll keep the thread alive until I get a chance to come along.

The 25th would be great and things might be a little bit wet by then.

Hey guys,
I'm off tomorrow so i'm hoping that every thing is cool for the 25th.
Just a few points

1- Where are we going to meet?

2- What time are we going to meet?

3- As I have never been driving through mundaring someone needs to plan the trip. Does anyone want to put thier hand up?

I would say that i need these questions answered before I leave but the truth is that holidays will just mean that I'm on here more then ever. Remember to invite as many ppl as possible so that we get a big turn out and we get to poach some idea's off each other.

Sorry if i'm rambling crap but I had a few to many drinks for lunch. It's going to be an interesting afternoon serving customers!

I am still keen and don't mind organising it.
I just need to know what dates suit people. If the 25th does not then we can do the 18th and then again a week or two after that.

Just need to know what people are doing.

Ok lets go for Mundaring on the 25th.
We will meet at the big caltex (i think it's caltex) servo at the bottom of Greenmount hill at say 9:00am and then all head off from there.

Make sure everyone brings some kind of recovery equipment and the more compressors the better.

Cheers

What is she doing n mandurah? Crabing is over-rated and we all know thats the only thing to do in mandurah. Is she coming down for the whole weekend? coz if she does I will most probably she her rig in town.

I can see it now. Carly says "Excuse me who are you and why are you standing in front of my car, throthing at the mouth and playing with yourself" I need to go home I think, this work stuff is making me crasy.

Yeah at 9 it is, I'll try not to break anything considering its a two hour drive each way I need to get home some how.

near stock or not the only way you'll break ya car in the mud is if ya loose traction and slide into something , or i supose you could clog up ya radiator and cook the engine or get a whole heap of mud into your clutch  .
yeah i supose you can break stuff in the mud :D
sounds like fun .

make sure you all get some pics to post up so we can see how it turned out , anyhow have fun!
if its worth doing do it intensly , better still do it with MADPASSION

Hang on...

Photos are coming, just waiting to get the photos back from a mate of mine. Should be next couple of days as he works night shift and I work day shift.

Great fun had by all, amazed at how my zook did compared to the others. more details coming.

Only carnage I know of is, Dewse engine mount and minusing some bfg lugs, My now matching sill panel, a few more dents under mine.

cheers

Well I had my photo's developed yesterday. They look cool but hardly do the tracks justice.

We meet up at 9ish and headed for the tracks. When we got to the tracks we aired down and chatted for a while about wild adventures that we had previously conquered in our trusty rigs and what plans we had in mind for the future. The track in was a little bit lumpy and enjoyable wheel. Our fearless leader (Bazooked) then took us to a hill climb that looked way beyond my limits. We got out of the cars and starred up at hill with giant ruts and holes big enough to swollow a zook and a half. (this was my impression and I may be exaggerating a little). After a bit more chit chat about our past trips and the future mods the fearless leader hopped in his rig and with a dim red light from somewhere in the distance of his eye he dropped the clutch and crawled away. Now we all know bazooked rig from here and from 4wd monthly but its another thing to see it climb a hill. Now those scary big ruts and death pits started to look like little pot holes in the road as bazooked twisted and turned his way up. It looked like nothing on this track was going to phase him. then all of a sudden it comes to or realisation that he was hopping on the spot close to the top of the hill. With a quick flick of the rear locker and he was off again. After seeing this I was amased and thoughht that I might have a go to see how far I could make it. So I was next up and with the mighty 1.3 fired into life I felt confident. Now I had never done anything as intense as this so you could image my addreniline and lucky for me my right foot felt strong. So as you could image I substituted my lack of flex with momentem. And before I new it I had made it to the top and I was full of excitment only to realsie that I now had to go back down!!! Now going up a hill is one thing but going down can be a little more exciting so I carefull edged myself down to be releived with joy. Now it was Nicbeer's go and he was ready to rumble using the same way as I had done things he firmly planted his right foot and started his acent but due to lack of a few things like traction he was stuck at the same point as bazooed had turned his locker on which called for a guided reverse. Not to feel ashamed badooky jumped in his rig and did his thing coming back down with a smile.
Now I would write more but i'm getting bored and this most probably is a boring read so I'll just say the day went on like this with plenty wheeling and even more gas bagging of the things in the past and the plans for the future.

Thanks guys for coming and hope we can do it some other time

Matt

Sorry we did more of the same stuff just moved from hill to hill. I just couldn't be bothered writing anymore. Was heaps of fun but I chopped crap out of my tires. I removed that sway bar which helped heaps but it was made clear that i didn't have enough lift.

Have fixed the prob now
- cut seems off and stitch welded then fibreglassed to make smooth
- Cut the ends of the front cross members off
- trimmed the bumper

My old man came with me and he was really excited so now he wants to build my car up for me : ) I'm not going to complain

Sorry dudes, I couldn't make it on the day.
I had planned to drive down after work on sunday morning but ended up doing an extra 6 hours overtime. So I didn't finish till 8.00am.
And cause it takes two hours for me to get there and I hadn't slept in approx 20hrs, it wasn't going to happen.

I would of let you know but my mobile does not have cdma so it doesn't work in the bush. Also the computer is in perth so this is the first chance I have had to jump on the forum in about a week and a half.

Sounds like you had a good time. I am glad bazooked rocked up to show you the way.

I will definately be there nest time!!!!!!!!!!!!

SO what mods have you guys got planned now!!!
