6 SP TJ gearbox

Post by shanno92 »

G'day all

Im currently in the middle of dismantling the gearbox out of my girlfriends TJ wrangler (stuffed synchro's)
Just wondering if anyone has any info on the gearbox internals e.g. preloads and tensions etc? or anything I need to look out for?

Cheers Richo.

Nup.
Try looking or asking on http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com.au" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Or on http://Www.pirate4x4.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

When you're done, ONLY use Mopar oil from a Jeep dealer.
Don't use anything else, or you WILL be rebuilding it again.
There's lots of oil that supposedly suit the jeep 6 speed. It's a very finicky gearbox.
Many have tried them, and failed.
Mopar only.
My friends aren't holding me back..... I'm pulling 'em forward.
