I had a pile of spares that I was going to take with me to Willowglen. Spare diff centre, a set of front axles and CVs, rear driveshaft, rear axles, oil, coolant, diff oil, auto locker pins/springs, rad hoses, fan belts, plus tools that I would use to change/replace all of the above. And trolley jack and jack stands.

To be honest, only seat time in your car will tell you what you need to bring otherwise you could easily bring too much. As you find out what the weak links or mechanical fuses are then you bring spares for those. And as you learn to fix and bring those parts you'll know what tools are needed for the job.

there's also other factors

Can you share/split tools and spares with mates and other teams?
How far are you travelling? I travel over a thousand kays to events so it's a big effort to just turn up, so i bring EVERYTHING. Except for a steering box, i didn't bring that to KOTR and guess what broke!!
How serious are you about winning or getting back out on to the track?
What can you afford to have just sitting on the shelf? I've even got a spare motor!
