I think the whole point was to put only the one class. I like the one class thing, after all there can only be one king

Maybe the rock crawlers could race for the Queen of the park crown?? :finger:

As long as they can keep on setting a a track that is even to both classes then it should be all good to continue as is. But if that's difficult to keep on doing then why not have two classes and two KING trophies?

The courses then could be made to suit both styles of vehicles but when it gets to the rocks or winching each has an alternative route to get to their class specific GPS points?

And as Brian said having items to collect from each GPS point (e.g sponsor business cards or certain letters or words) then this is a good way to check that competitors have actually reached every checkpoint?

There were no rock crawling buggys there. Only two all terrain buggys.

Oh righto, my bad.
So do you think having the one race next year will actually work and be fair once there's more All Terrain vehicle teams that enter?

Considering we did it in a busted ass 4runner the track wasn't that hard we just had to take our time and use our heads more then our right foot to get through some parts. I think the tracks where good and as far as I know this event was ment to be a challenge not a walk in the park

Depends on what fair means, "Free choice on what waypoints ya want to skip" or "Mandatory all classes drive the same course" :finger:

Well everyone,
What a weekend, 13 vehicles at the start on Saturday after a few last minute cancellations, all being cheeky and thinking they where in for an easy run. Well it wasnt long before the 2 way was alive with breakages everywhere, hence the reason the spectators didnt see many vehicles, only 5 completed day one, with rattleguns going still at 10 pm, 10 entrants lined up again for Sunday, with a little bit of track modifications saturday night 7 completed sundays run.
With only 4 cars completing both days Manar proved a tough beast to conquer.
The winners Summit Racings Michael Carmac and David Greggs completing the course in just over 7 hours with penalties applied. Runners up where Gympie Offroad and third place the Bushrangers.
Thanks to all the teams who came and gave it a go! We realise a few things need to be worked on for next year but early reports have most of the entrants coming back again next year, To be held on the long weekend in october 2013 once again.
Special thank you to our main sponsor T-Max winches for their valued support with our first event!
Also special Mention to the staff of Manar Park and John Butler Racing without them the event would of never happened.
See you all next year!

Obviously all cars drive the exact same course, but only you have to try and drive over that tree again :finger:

I think if all cars have to drive the same tracks but then have some bonus stages that suit different cars like some big boulders and massive winch hills. Or even some trees lol

I believe no gps this year (thank goodness) and tuff trucks are vs winch trucks. Rock crawlers and aus4s are in the same group. It is about 10ish km lap. That's all I know.

This was a great event, comp management was superb, track layout good- could have been some harder crawl sections-but overall tops. I like the the big intersection that caught inbound outbound on the circuit, would have been good for spectating. Got a few things to fix but all good
Thanks to all marshals(especially shane that found my impact that fell out!!) and property owners Dave and Robin

Heres a picture of the small wirly wind that just missed the pits sunday arvo
