lightforce 240's

Post by Ruggers »

hi guys i seriously thinking of getting a set of lightforce 240's what sort of price should i be looking at as the guys in geelong like to over charge, and are the xgts that much better than the 240 blitz and the final question will they fit into a 75 series arb delux winch bar thanks chris

Am pretty sure that the XGTs offer exactly the same performance as the standard 240's, they're just in the new housing that was designed for the HIDs.

No idea on the other Q's.
I'm not very good looking, so I guess I better be useful . . .

I went to a shop, asked if I could take one out to my car to see if it would fit (left it in the plastic). They where happy with this. Been very happy with mine. I did have an incident where the reflector went crappy. I emailed Lightforce in SA. In the return email it said to send them to them at there cost. Pretty much a week later I recived an a new set of 240's in the mail, at no cost to me.
So although I had a prob with my first set. The response I got from them with dealing with a fualt was shit hot. Much better than the other warranty claim I have going at the moment (havnt heard from them yet - got sent away the same day, that was 4 weeks ago).

Calling AV_GAS....

I bought 18 prs of 240s at once, got a good deal, and not one complaint from anyone, well Bitzmissin had 24v globes in his, but Lightforce freighted new ones to him overnight, at no cost.

Good lights, havent let us down on the night runs yet.

try www.multispares.com.au truck spares place, thats where i got mine.. They are in Sunbury I think (west side of Melbourne)

I've got the 240 Blitz's and there the brightest things i've ever used and i've hit trees with them and had them submerged under water for 30 minutes in a creek when i flodded my car and there still going strong as the day i bought them (there a year old)

I bought them thru Cheezy on this site he's a top bloke and did me a great deal and would problary look after you too if you asked him nicely

Ive had my 240s for about 6 months and they are great.
If I bought a set now I would buy the XGTs just cause they look horn and the housing/mounting looks stronger.
Also I would highly recomend 1 or 2 combo covers. They spread the light out onto the sides of the road nicely.

I did it a while back, 18pairs of 240s in total.

Just takes someone to put their hand up and take control of it..

1) Call around and get a good price for say 10 prs and 15 prs.
2) Ask for people interested.
3) Arrange freight prices to their place.
4) Tell them the total cost
5) Get the $ in the bank... direct deposit is best. As soon as they say YES, get the $$ off them. otherwise you can get stuck with 10 pr of lights..
6) Post them or freight what ever.

I used a company called multispares www.multispares.com.au they freighted to everystates head office FREE, they had branches in each state, so just ordered them to be sent there from Lightforce.. People showed Licence Photo ID to get their lights. Or I delivered them to some dudes in Melbourne.

It aint hard to do.

You can do this with anything, not just lights.

YMMV

The blitz has an adjustable spreadbeam at the back of it while the XGT's dont - the XGT's use a spread beam cover on it.

Still waitin to fit my XGT's as soon as cheezy bullbar arrives

hmmm, im also interested in these but the gap between cross bars on my bullbar is only 230mm ;(

what ya rekon about mounting them sticking out about 30-40mm infront of the bar so the angled section of the light will clear the cross bars?

this could lead to some carnage im thinking ey although i dont plan on front ending anything anytime soon

Bogged - whats your idea of a good price? Better than $330 for the last batch? I decided it was easier to drive up to Cheesy's and pay a little more for peace of mind and no wait....? :D
