I don't think that's the axle? They had a recall on wheel studs.
Me, the 3l are just too small. Have a 2004 dual cab and the lil bugger went bang at 240k, had nads since 146k, serviced every 5 k, oil and filter.
On my way to power cruise with my 1 toner in tow, miles from home. No warning egt fine, boost, coolant fine. Bang did a piston. NEVER AGAIN
Ls1 in my dual cab now. Don't want to get rid of he car. Didn't even consider a td42, they use as much fuel as my ls1 will. With a heap more power.
I personally wouldn't buy or rec a 3l to anyone. They are a ticking time bomb which will go off at will. I use to defend them till mine left me in the bush. I was just glad it was just me and not the entire family.
At least if the ls1 gets tired can rebuild or BRAND NEW engine for 4.5k.

No. They had a recall because too many retards don't know how to tighten wheel nuts. The recall was to supply and fit wheel nut indicators and an instruction card on how to do up the wheel nuts correctly.

 fark the 3ltr.. just like someones sig line.  :finger: :finger:[/quote]

Who's sig line. :D .. my 06 went bang... but that can't be right as the boys said they sweet from 04 ... :finger: :finger: :finger: :finger: :finger: :finger:

Absolute shitheap motors that are lucky they fit a budget point in the market or they would be piled 10 high at the tip like old falcons :D Iwas disappointed when box blew on the one previous. Both dramas at 105 000 and thank fark I'm a argumentative prick and fought nissan for good will and got 3/4 covered on both. Extended warranty extended warranty extended warranty .... report after me!

Buy one in warranty and extend it or have cash spare 10k ish and you be fine. Simple... i would give anything to be a fly on the wall when skegs goes bang  Ok while they going along as you don't need power ;)
