Never really seen a pic thread on here in regards to this, but if there is, then my apologies.
Looking for some inspirational pics/ideas from guys who've done or seen custom crossmembers fabbed up under hiluxs.
I run my LN106 pretty low and have lifted my running gear up for a flat belly and with the combination of those two things my rear (single piece) tailshaft can and does rub on the crossmember where the centre bearing used to reside.
Soon to be made even worse by going from single case with gears to a twin setup which will push the top end of the shaft where it all pivots from a full 6.5" even closer to the crossmember and that I will soon be looking for link mounting points as I progress away from leaf springs on this truck too and I'm thinking of just biting the bullet and cutting the whole crossmember out and starting from scratch for both tailshaft clearance and strength to mount links.
Just wanted to hear stories, see pics etc of guys who've done the same

I had a bolt in RHS 75 x 50 which the bottom link mount were bolted to. It was a bolt in job as it was really close to the twin transfers and needed to be removed if I had to remove the transfer cases.

I would have thought with the extra length of the dual cases would have made it better. As the radius of the tail shaft going up and down at the cross member is reduced because the pivot point ( back of the t-case) is closer to the cross member. Does that make sense????

Normally id totally agree with you bud except I've lifted my running gear up higher for a flat belly and now the output flange points straight at the crossmember.
It only clears as is cause it's far enough away being a single case that it has enough room to drop down towards the diff whereas with the twins it will be too close to be able to clear.
Did that sound right bud? Or did I confuse you?
